“My car directed me in the wrong direction because the doctor's office is in a separate building not close by. That caused me to be late, Apparently, that happens often to new patients. .......................... I had a very short wait before I was taken back to begin testing by another woman who was attractive, professional. and responded politely when I needed clarification. When finished, she took me to a different room where I waited no more than 5 minutes to see Dr. Gilder............Dr. Gilder was laughing when she came into the room, introduced herself, shook my hand, and sat down to learn a bit about why I was there. Before I explained, she stopped me and said "I know where you live. I drive by your apartment every morning on my way to work!" That's what she had been laughing about. She went over all the testing and asked why I was there. I told her that I wanted new glasses. She told me I had cataracts needing removal first and that's what I'll do! ”

About Dr. Leanne Gilder
Leanne Gilder, O.D., is a Therapeutic Optometrist specializing in primary care and the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease. She is proficient in utilizing state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment to assess candidacy for laser vision correction and cataract surgery and administers pre- and post-operative care for both procedures.
Dr. Gilder grew up in Lafayette, Louisiana, and attended Louisiana State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She then earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she received a clinical letter of excellence and actively participated in the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists organization.
Dr. Gilder is currently a member of the American Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association, and serves on the board for the Harris County Optometric Society. In her leisure time, she enjoys exercising, playing tennis, watching football, and spending time with her family and friends. Dr. Gilder sees patients at the Mann Eye Institute – The Woodlands location.

Very friendly staff. Sky and Dr. Gilder were fast and we're very good. I would differently recommend this office to anyone. Very clean and after the appointment, I met with the eye glasses center and she was very nice and new what glasses looked best on me. Thank you all for wonderful service. Can't wait to get my new updated prescription in glasses. Thanks again

I had problems with my last eye doctor at a different practice and explained those problems. Dr. Gilder said she would work with me to make sure that we got those issues taken care of. Highly recommend her and Mann.
