Dr Miller requires a credit card on file with every appointment made. There is a $50.00 charge for all no shows or cancellations after 24 hours of making appointment. If rescheduled; we apply the charge toward the appointment
Please verify your vision coverage. (VSP Commercial, Eyemed, Spectera or March Vision)
Routine services such as eyeglasses and contact lenses cannot be billed under medical plans (ie: Aetna, BCBS, UHC etc)
We can only bill medical conditions under those plans as long as deductible has been met.
We DO NOT take Medi-cal or Medicare directly, even if Medi-cal is VSP we are not in network.
Dr Miller requires retinal imaging on ALL patients. The charge rages from $45.00 privately or with qualifying medical history, depending on the insurance company. This is explained at time of visit
Dr. Miller was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa. After graduating from the Witwatersrand School of Optometry he worked in private practice in Johannesburg. Dr. Les Miller relocated to Philadelphia to complete a residency and earn his Doctorate of Optometry Degree in 1984 from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. After moving to Southern California he founded OPTOMEYES in 1993.
He takes tremendous pride in providing his patients with the highest level of care, whether he is writing a prescription, treating a medical condition or referring a patient for a surgical consultation. Dr. Miller chooses only to work with the most experienced surgeons who utilize the finest state of the art technology. Advising his valued patients for a variety of procedures and treatment options is important to him. He enjoys educating his patients of the benefits it provides whether it is a lifestyle choice, convenience or a medically necessary procedure.
During his spare time Dr. Miller enjoys spending time with his family and building and constructing just about anything.

Went for an eye exam, the doctor is good and efficient, no complaints w/ the actual treatment. Warning to others is that there is a surprise additional "required" eye imaging treatment that you are forced to do, and are charged for. Didn't like that this was not disclaimed to me in advance, and that I couldn't opt out - not great to be forced into something you didn't come for, and given the option of doing both or leaving without the treatment you came for. The review doesn't let me mention anything regarding charges, but yes you are charged more for it as well.

My recent visit started positively with a warm welcome from the front staff, easing my anxiety. However, this comfort quickly faded when I encountered the Dr. As a vet tech, I came prepared after suffering a painful eye injury, bringing my medication and expecting a thorough examination. Unfortunately, the Dr. barely acknowledged my medication and asked irrelevant questions. His abrasive demeanor, with loud commands to hold my eyes open, was distressing given my discomfort. He claimed to apply anesthetic but only used a fluorescent stain, performing rushed tests. When he concluded everything was "normal," I felt dismissed, receiving only a recommendatn for eye lubricant. My friend, who accompanied me, felt uncomfortable with his treatment. He offered vague advice about work and, despite my insistence, didn’t provide a work note. While the front staff was supportive, the Dr’s dismissive attitude left me feeling unheard. I advise others to tread carefully when considering this physician.
