About Dr. Lilia Flores
Dr. Flores is a Kansas Native with a bachelors in Public Health Nutrition from Kansas State University. She made her way to Texas by attending Optometry School at The University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio. During her optometric studies her passion to serve her Spanish speaking community grew and she became involved in medical mission trips to Panama and Guatemala. She was awarded the service award. An award given to the most outstanding student who demonstrates a passion for courtesy, service and compassion for her patients. Dr. Flores completed her training at Parkhurst Nuvision in San Antonio, Community Eye clinic in Ft. Worth, and the Bob Michel VA in Illinois. Over her 6 years of practice she has had the opportunity to work in multiple areas of eyecare including primary care, ocular disease, and refractive surgery. Her ability to be bilingual in Spanish and English helps her better serve her patients. Dr. Flores has a heart for missions and hopes to continue serving not only her local community, but also different communities around the world including Mexico. Her focus in her optometric career has been to pursue her interests in nutrition, ocular disease, dry eye therapy, research, innovative technology and education to ensure that patients in her community have access to it. In her free time Dr. Flores enjoys traveling, reading her Bible, doing yoga, playing piano, dancing salsa, spending time with her family, and eating all the delicious food the world has to offer.
