About Dr. Lindsey Boody

Growing up with family members affected by macular degeneration and ocular cancer gave me an early and lasting appreciation for the importance of vision. I earned my Doctor of Optometry degree from SUNY College of Optometry in 2023 and completed a residency in Primary Care and Ocular Disease at the VA Hudson Valley Health Care System. This advanced training strengthened my ability to evaluate the eye comprehensively for routine exams and more complex disease and pre/post-operative management. I am particularly passionate about diagnosing and treating dry eye disease through thorough evaluation of the ocular surface and individualized treatment plans. Affecting patients of all ages, dry eyes can significantly interfere with daily activities, comfort, and overall quality of life, especially in today's screen-dependent world. Advancements in diagnosis and treatment have greatly helped our ability as eye care professionals to identify and treat this multifactorial disease. My goal is to preserve and restore ocular surface health to improve not only visual clarity, but also long-term comfort and eye wellness for every patient I see.
