About Dr. Lindsey Hood

Lindsey Hood, O.D., received her Doctor of Optometry from the Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University in 2023. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from Michigan State University, where she served as the co-president of the Pre-Optometry Club. Throughout her education, Dr. Hood gained valuable clinical experience through externships at esteemed institutions, including the Fort Wayne, Indiana VA Medical Center, Henry Ford Optimeyes, and the Michigan State University Neuro-ophthalmology Clinic. She also served as president of the Michigan Optometric Student Association, demonstrating her leadership and dedication to the field. Dr. Hood began her journey in optometry as an optometric technician at Okemos Optometry, where she developed a strong connection to the practice. Today, she is licensed to diagnose and treat ocular diseases, with a focus on urgent eye care, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye examinations. She is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Michigan Optometric Association. Originally from Mount Pleasant, Michigan, Dr. Hood enjoys spending her free time with her fiancé, Patrick, and their goldendoodle, Kona. She loves camping, snowboarding, playing tennis, and traveling.
