About Dr. Liza Lizarraga
Dr. Liza Lizarraga is a native Spanish and English-speaking obstetrician and gynecologist who strives to provide her patients with the best empathetic care possible. She earned her medical degree from Universidad Latina de Panam? Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud Dr. William C. Gorgas and completed a Master's in Public Health at Columbia University. Dr. Lizarraga also completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Atlantic Health System, Morristown Medical Center. She volunteers with a nonprofit organization that addresses female health and gynecologic disorders in underserved women in Haiti. She understands that improving all women's health is a priority.

There was no experience at all, as I were not even let in to see the doctor. They missed to inform me in advance that I had to send my records to be accepted. That would have been nice to know before driving there, waisting my time an pay for parking. Then they said the doctor was going to reviewed it and afterwards told me that apparently there is a policy that no one is accepted after 20. weeks of pregnancy, even though I explicitly made an appointment for 28+, so they shouldn’t have accepted the appointment in first place. Also there wouldn’t be a reason to review anything if that apparently was the policy but…. To mention is also that I have a very low risk pregnancy too… So overall unfortunately very bad experience that costed time, money and nerves, not to be recommended!

Dr Lizarraga and all the staff from the front desk through the medical assistants and nurses were all very kind and attentive as well as knowledgeable. The office was clean and the environment, welcoming. I waited for only 5 mins before I was seen and was out within 1 hour of my appointment time! Very good experience

Very informative
I’m glad she broke down every information and gave her opinions including with options.
I was most glad that my husband was able to go in with me to listen and ask questions.
She made us both feel comfortable
We are happy that she didn’t mention kids right away or kept the subject on children.
She brought it up but more of one of the topics if we were ready.
She was more focused on the pain now, how to help, she didn’t beat around the bush but I truly respect on how everything was handled.
I have been disappointed in other visits that I didn’t feel that way at all.
It made me want to keep her as my OBGYN and whenever I finish with surgery to go back to her because how honest & full of information.
It was a breath of fresh air

The receptionist that checked me in was very nice and professional. Nicky took my vitals and was very nice and made me feel comfortable as it was my first visit. Dr Lizarraga also was very nice and patient. It was frustrating for me to try to explain certain things from my medical history but Dr Lizarraga listened and we got to where we needed to be. I like her so am struggling with whether or not to stay with the practice after my interaction with someone on the phone today that was incredibly rude and condescending. They never identified who I am so not sure how they intended to properly assist me. I had to ask to speak to someone else after this other first person continued to cut me off when I was explaining whst my former gyn office suggested we do, called me sweetheart in a condescending tone (I’m a new patient and an adult. Treat me with respect and dignity please. I wasn’t being rude. My coworker heard the interaction and also was baffled by how rude the person was to me.

Dr was clear and concise when covering all topics and questions. The majority of the staff, including the nurse, were nice and friendly. However, the staff member working the front is rude and has zero interpersonal skills. The wait time has been outrageous in 2 of my 3 visits and when trying to obtain a status update while waiting, I seem to have annoyed the front desk with work!

Dr. Liza was amazing! She was extremely prompt and very professional! She was super thorough and took the time to explain everything to me from start to finish. Honestly as a 29 year old African American woman I’m ashamed to say I didn’t know
a lot of things. She made me feel so at ease
and comfortable. She explained all my options with birth control and the differences between each one. So thankful to call her my doctor ??

I liked the doctor very much. But after the appointment I was contacted by a provider and said that containers with my tests were damaged and I need to come over again. That was a big disappointment because I travel a lot and I cannot just come. I was planning my visit far over in advance so I adjusted my agenda to meet a specific doctor and after all I didn’t get any results

I recently moved to FL and needed a new OBGYN. I was able to get a "new patient" appt. fairly quickly, which was great. I just wish I had been made aware of the fact that this is a training practice for new doctors and that I would have a training doctor in the room. It was fine both doctors were nice but I would not have chosen this doctor if I had known my examination would not be private. I will probably find a new different doctor.

Dr. Lizarraga is nothing special. She has zero bedside manners, rushes you through the exam, does not discuss/address your gynocological health and just wants to grab your money and run.
Her office staff is just as entertaining and rushes into the exam room while you have your legs spread wide open "to give the doctor something" that has nothing to do with your visit.
This office is typical Aventura.
Stay away....far away! Unfriendly and unprofessional doctor. She doesnt care much and staff barge in examination room during pap exam without even knocking. Just a hot mess. You can do better than this place
