About Dr. Luana Menezes
Dr. Menezes graduated Magna Cum Laude from State University of New York, at Buffalo receiving her undergraduate degree in Neuro-Psychology. She received her Doctor of Optometry Degree from State University of New York, College of Optometry. Dr. Menezes is a member of Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and local & national Optometric Associations.
Dr. Menezes fulfilled her clinical rotations through Brooklyn Veterans Medical Center, Woodhull Medical Center and The Laser Eye Institute where she gained great experience in collaborative refractive surgical care.
Dr. Menezes always emphasizes that deciding on Laser Vision Correction is a big and important step in a patient’s life and as the provider of Pre and Post operative care at our facility she provides our patients with a warm and inviting environment.
Besides her role in our refractive surgical care, Dr. Menezes is also an expert in Pediatrics and Vision Therapy and well experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases.

I was seen pretty much immediately upon arrival. Dr. Menezes was incredibly friendly and thorough. She heard all my concerns and treated me with care and professionalism. When she wasn’t sure if my insurance would cover the eye drops she sent to the pharmacy, she gave me a recommendation for an affordable and effective alternative (though the drops did wind up being covered). The staff and technicians are also very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Great experience I was seen immediately and the doctor was quick, friendly, and professional. The only thing that was a little confusing was the name of the business on zocdoc was different when you google it the locations name is Optical Warehouse of greenpoint

Have gone to Dr. Menezes twice for eye exams now. She’s knowledgeable and friendly and I felt she did a great job assessing not just my vision but the total health of my eyes. There was a hiccup with the front desk spelling my name wrong despite having booked everything through Zocdoc, which made it difficult to do insurance and find my old Rx in the system. Dr. Menezes spotted it though and was able to correct it once I got into the exam room.

The office is a pretty standard optometrist's office with wayyy too many frames, and many of them way overpriced. I prefer the Warby Parker vibe of shopping for glasses.
