Lucero Penaloza Arteaga, OD, completed her Bachelor of Science in biochemical and biophysical sciences in 2015, graduating cum laude. In 2020, she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Houston College of Optometry (UHCO), where she also completed a fellowship in clinical teaching with an emphasis in primary care and ocular disease. After completing her fellowship, she served as adjunct faculty at UHCO. Additionally, she worked as an optometrist for the City of Houston Health Department prior to joining Kelsey-Seybold in January 2022. She’s certified by the Texas Optometry Board as an optometric glaucoma specialist.
