Dr. Ly Nguyen, MD

Ly T. Nguyen M.D. earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with Honors and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biomedical Ethics from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. She received a medical degree from the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine in Honolulu. Dr. Nguyen did her internship year in general surgery at the University of Hawaii. She completed her general ophthalmology training at University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, Colorado. Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Nguyen is affiliated with the St. Cloud Regional Medical Center, Orlando Health, Florida Hospital, and the Kissimmee Surgery Center. She also has a volunteer faculty position at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine in Lake Nona. Dr. Nguyen has been an active researcher, author of numerous journal articles and presenter at medical meetings and conferences. She is the recipient of several awards, including the Resident Research Award for excellent research presentation at the University of Colorado, the Hawaii Medical Association Alliance Endowment Award for community service and academic achievement and the JABSOM Pacific/Asian Scholarship for academic achievement and commitment to serving the Pacific/Asian region. Dr. Nguyen is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Florida Society of Ophthalmology, St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Board of Trustee at St. Cloud Regional Medical Center.
