Majid Mani, M.D., is an Ophthalmic Surgeon with an emphasis in caring for patients with diabetes, macular degeneration, retinal detachment, and glaucoma. He is the Vice President of American Eye Associates and is known for his treatment of diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Mani has received numerous awards from the American Diabetes Association, recognizing his work. He is the first ophthalmologist to receive the Doctor of the Year Award from El Centro Regional Hospital, serves on the Advisory Board of American Diabetes Association, and is a member of the Imperial County Diabetic Education Committee. Dr. Mani was awarded the title of US World News Top Doctor by Castle Connolly in 2015. Dr. Mani was voted by his peers, both within his specialty and outside, as one of San Diego County’s Top Doctors by San Diego County Medical Society for ten consecutive years (2013-2023). Dr. Mani was also the President of Imperial County Medical Society from 2015-2017. Dr. Mani received his medical degree from Tulane School of Medicine graduating with honors. His superb capabilities have led to many outstanding presentations in different medical settings, which have added to his level of expertise in patient care and benefitted his position as medical director of the El Centro office. Dr. Mani is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the San Diego County Medical Society, and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.
