Dr. Solomon was raised in the northern Chicago suburbs. He graduated from Indiana University with a degree in chemistry and minor in psychology. He then attended medical school at the Medical College of Virginia and did his residency in ophthalmology and fellowship in vitreo-retinal surgery at the University of Illinois in Chicago. He was chosen to be chief resident and after completing fellowship stayed at the university as an Assistant Professor. He started practice at Retina Associates in Chicago in 1996 and practiced in the Chicago area for 14 years before relocating to Nashville in 2009 with his wife and two children. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a member of the American Society of Retinal Surgeons and the Nashville Academy of Ophthalmology. Outside of work, Dr. Solomon enjoys spending time with his family, reading as well as physical activity.
