About Dr. Maria Natividad
Dr. Natividad received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, in 1991. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, DC. Following her training, she worked as an assistant professor at George Washington Medical Center in the Departments of Emergency Medicine and Healthcare Services. In 1999, Dr. Natividad opened her own private practice, Advent Health Group, P.C., in Arlington, VA. Born in the Philippines, she speaks Tagalog and Spanish.
Dr. Natividad is board certified in Internal Medicine and is a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). She brings a compassionate approach to patient care, focusing on preventive care. When she is not seeing patients, she is involved in her children's educational and social lives. Dr. Natividad is married and has two children.

Ms. Chantelle Powell, our board-certified physician assistant, is a native of the Washington, DC, metro area. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology at Rutgers University. She then attended Saint Louis University, where she received her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies. After graduation, she ventured west to work for a primary care practice in El Paso, Texas, providing comprehensive care. Missing being close to her family, she returned to join Advent Health Group, P.C. She cherishes her patient relationships and what they ultimately teach her about life experiences. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.

The reason I went to Dr Natividad was becasue My god daughter is in the immigration process and Dr Natividad was one of the doctors immigration recommend you to go, yet when I got there Dr Natividad and her staff were amazing that we decided to take her as our regular doctor. she is amazing, bilingual, professional etc etc

I waited awhile for the blood draw. Apparently the Quest staff person didn't know I was there, but the curtain was drawn. I had no other directions. So I waited in the nearby chair.
Ideally there are better directions on how to get the lab work done. Thanks!

Dr Natividad is always caring, polite, knowledgeable & listens. I don't usually feel too rushed. Staff is another story. I booked a video visit & called to confirm it whereupon the receptionist denied my appointment was supposed to be a virtual appointment but she'd do me the "favor" of letting me change it. Had to call back several times after sent multiple confirmation requests for an in person office visit. Typical of her staff. But her main nurse is nice.

I had Dr. Johnson. She was very nice and funny. I liked her but did feel a bit rushed. This was my annual well woman visit and I did not feel like I had enough time to get all of the advice I needed.

Dr. Natividad has been my primary care physician for years, and although I have moved away from Arlington, I can't see myself going anywhere else. I like her holistic approach, her bedside manner, and her attention to detail. Highly recommended!
