About Dr. Marisa Formica
Marisa Formica is a dedicated and diligent sports medicine specialist caring for the communities of Forest Hills and New York City in NY. Dr. Formica attended Ross University, where she received her medical degree. She completed her family medicine residency at Northwell Health in Glen Cove, LI and further specialized in sports medicine at the Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge General Medical Center. During her training, she had the opportunity to cover many different sports and work at all levels of athletics including high school, Div I and IAA universities, and professional teams and events.
Dr. Formica is a part of Able Orthopedic and Sports Medicine. She is board certified in both family medicine and sports medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. She is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine. Dr. Formica gives each patient her focused attention, and she prides herself on delivering the best treatment available. Everyone in the office was AMAZING!!! I was seen right away and everyone was so attentive and nice. Dr. Formica was so professional and diligent with everything. She took a look at every single detail and walked me through a plan of action and answered every single one of my questions. This was the most amazing experience and she will be my doctor for life. Dr. Formica was kind, honest, and thorough. Best sports medicine specialist I've been to. She took the time to explain what was wrong and offered different treatment options. And I didn't even feel the injection she gave me - she has great hands! Staff is friendly too.

Dr. Formica's Manhattan office is centrally located between Flatiron and Chelsea. She was very kind, asked thorough questions and listened intently when I described my symptoms. Scheduling with her office was a breeze and her staff is very prompt in taking care of any required authorizations for testing.
