About Dr. Marissa Evans

Marissa Evans, O.D., received her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2021 and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a Minor in Medicine & Society, from the University of Houston Honors College. Her special field of interest includes treating anterior segment pathology and addressing various conditions that come with primary eye care. Dr. Evans recalls always having an interest in optometry, remembering getting glasses as a young child in the first grade. She also had a strong connection with several of her past eye doctors, and a career in optometry allows her to pass along that positive experience to future generations. Helping others is particularly important to Dr. Evans, especially when their problems may have been previously dismissed. In her opinion, solving a patient's vision issue that was ignored for years is a very worthwhile pursuit. Outside the office, Dr. Evans enjoys game nights with friends, crocheting, leather work, and archery.

This was my second visit for glasses. The Optometrist was very Professional and thoroughly in tune to my eye issues. Knowing that I have worn glasses for over 40 years, I knew what I wanted. I was VERY surprised when the Optometrist told me that my left eye had gotten a little better...surprised may not be the correct word...SHOCKED is more like it. I have been wearing glasses, since I was 9 years old...I am now over 50. ANYWAYS....after my eye exam, the Ladies out front were extremely helpful when my Wife coached me as to which frames I needed...and would suit me best. We ALL know that wives are better at dressing 'us' husbands than we are. To make a long story short...I picked my frames (after my Wifey's approval). I Thank EVERYONE who helped me...from the time I walked in, through the eye exam, through the several pairs of glasses my Darling Wifey had me model, and through the fitting and payment. I HIGHLY Recommend EVERYONE stop in and talk to the Professionals about your eye care.
