About Dr. Maruja Fernandez
Dr. Maruja Fernandez is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is fully bilingual in English and Spanish. Being a third-generation OB/Gyn, she believes in comprehensive, individualized care for her patients.
Dr. Fernandez is a graduate of the University of Oviedo School of Medicine in Spain. She completed an Internal Medicine residency at the University of Nevada in Reno and her OB/GYN training at the University of Puerto Rico in San Juan.
Married and with two children, she resides in Tampa. Dr. Fernandez enjoys traveling and outdoor activities such as skiing and biking.

Dr. Fernandez is truly exceptional. She made me feel completely comfortable and cared for throughout my visit. She took the time to listen, answer all of my questions, and explain everything in a way that was easy to understand. Her kindness and professionalism immediately put me at ease, and I always feel confident that I’m in good hands. I highly recommend Dr. Fernandez to anyone looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable OBGYN.

First time visit. Seeing a Gyno is no fun event. You go because it’s smart. This visit was fast, thorough, kind, friendly, compassionate, honest, and knowledgeable. Everyone made me feel comfortable. Everyone listened to my concerns and wants. Many options were discussed. Answers were given. The exam was thorough and fast. Just what you want in a Gyno exam. Great visit. I highly recommend treating with this doctor. She’s an expert. I am moving forward with her recommendations. Thanks to you all.
