“Everything about the visit to the Crown Vision Center at 11615-B Olive Blvd in Creve Coeur was great. The receptionist was very friendly while getting me signed in and confirmed that my insurance plan would provide coverage. I was promptly taken back for testing. The technician explained every test fully and made sure I was comfortable with everything. He knew that I had my retinas tested in prior visits and offered that service again and that it cost an extra fee. It was a personalized interaction. I have seen Dr. Woodyard before, and it was like a visit with a trusted friend. He was able to compare my present test results with prior years (very close) and assure me of overall good eye health. Selecting new frames was really easy because of their large selection; and they were expertly fitted. The check out process was likewise a piece of cake with every charge being clearly documented along with the insurance coverage. ”

About Dr. Matthew J. Woodyard
Dr. Matthew Woodyard completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Missouri, St. Louis, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry. He then obtained his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Missouri, St. Louis College of Optometry. Dr. Woodyard began practicing optometry at Crown Vision Center in 2002. He chose to become an optometrist because he was always drawn to being a doctor and had a strong interest in optics. Today, his favorite part of the job is solving problems for patients, helping them to see better and feel better.

I really can't say enough about the fantastic care I received from Dr. Woodyard. I had never seen him before and really chose based on proximity and availability, because I was experiencing an issue with one of my eyes that needed to be looked at somewhat urgently. Dr. Woodyard was incredibly thorough and compassionate. He and his staff took several rounds of images, and he spent a good deal of time examining my eye to be sure it wasn't an emergency. He also made certain I had a clear understanding of exactly what the diagnosis was and what the next steps would be, went out of his way to make sure I could contact him in case an emergency arose, and got me in to see a specialist ASAP. If you're looking for an optometrist who will take the time needed to make sure you're comfortable and cared for, look no further.
