“I can see why Dr. Kruger and his staff are well rated. I had a through eye exam that was amazingly efficient and thorough. A big plus: every staff member, from intake to exam technicians and physician assistants - were positive and caring. The detailed prep work allowed Dr. Kruger to zero in on an exact prescription and a well informed analysis of my vision issues. He even prescribed a medication for dry eye I'd never heard about. I will definitely be returning.”

About Dr. Matthew Kruger
Matthew M. Kruger, M.D. is a board certified, fellowship trained specialist in cataract surgery, cornea and laser vision correction. Dr. Kruger has extensive experience in cataract surgery, refractive surgery including LASIK and PRK, corneal transplantation and partial corneal transplantation techniques such as DSAEK, DMEK and DALK. He treats both routine and complex cornea, cataract and refractive cases. He will be providing his patients with comprehensive eye care using the latest medical and surgical technology and techniques.
Dr. Kruger grew up in the Pacific Northwest before heading to the Northeast where he graduated from Dartmouth College. After graduation, he spent a year volunteering at a medical mission hospital in West Africa before starting his medical training at Tufts University School of Medicine where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He did his ophthalmology training at UT Southwestern Medical Center, the largest ophthalmology program in the U.S., where he served as clinic and surgery chief.
After finishing residency, Dr. Kruger spent an additional year at UT Southwestern completing a fellowship in cornea, advanced cataract/lens replacement surgery and laser refractive surgery. He performs all the latest types of corneal transplantation including DSAEK, DMEK and DALK. Dr. Kruger practiced in the Boston area for over one year before coming to Denver.
Dr. Kruger enjoys spending time with his wife and kids as well as skiing, hiking, piano, traveling and learning new languages.
