About Dr. Matthew Peterson

Dr. Peterson grew up in Valley City, ND and completed his undergraduate work at Concordia College in Moordhead, MN. He received a Bachelors in the Arts degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. After college, Dr. Peterson attended the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, CA. He completed externships at the Makalapa Clinic at Pearl Harbor, HI, the Indian Health Services Hospital in Shonto, AZ and the Wellish Eye Institute in Las Vegas, NV. Upon completion of Optometry school, Dr. Peterson moved to Colorado Springs. He practiced there and in Montrose, CO for 8 years before joining the Youth Dental and Vision team in 2018. The part of the job he enjoys the most is the opportunity to work with a great group of people whose only concern is providing the best and most comprehensive care possible. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and hunting dog, Maddox.
