About Dr. Matthiew Hoogland
Dr. Matthiew Hoogland (Dr. Matt) is a board-certified optometrist specializing in primary care and ocular disease management. Hailing from northwest Iowa, he earned his BS in Biology from Dordt University (2009) and optometry degree from Pacific University (2017), followed by a year-long ocular disease residency in Oklahoma. Now calling North Carolina home, Dr. Matt is proud to be part of the American and North Carolina Optometric Associations. Dr. Matt is passionate about patient care and in his free time enjoys pickleball, hiking, and playing piano for his local church.

This office is very efficient and organized. The technician, Matthew, was very thorough. Dr. Hoogland is the best optometrist I have ever seen. He explained everything to me in detail. I appreciated the service and the complete exam I received. Very impressed.

I was very impressed by my visit today for a comprehensive eye exam. From the moment I walked in the front door to the time I left, I felt comfortable and confident in the staff's knowledge and care. The Doctor is one of the most professional eye doctors I have ever had. He was caring, explained the results of my examination, and offered advice on selecting my new glasses. I will highly recommend MyEyeDr to my family members and friends. A beautiful office, clean and in perfect order, you immediately know this is your best new eye doctor and staff. I can't praise it enough!
