About Dr. Maysoon Salem
Dr. Maysoon Salem founded Eyeluxe Eyecare in 2025 with a mission to provide exceptional vision services tailored to the unique needs of her local community. Driven by her passion for improving eye health and a deep sense of care for her patients, Dr. Salem has established Eyeluxe Eyecare as a trusted destination for comprehensive eye examinations, blending advanced technology with a compassionate approach, ensuring every patient receives the highest standard of care.
Dr. Salem received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Montclair State University in New Jersey, where she was raised most of her life, a true Jersian at heart. She then went on to complete her Doctorate of Optometry Degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2020.
During her time as a student, Dr. Salem was President of the Low Vision Rehabilitation Club, a student intern for VOSH International, and inducted into the Gold Key Optometric Honor Society. During her second year, she was given the opportunity to travel to Jamaica with the Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity and provide eye care to the underprivileged people. Her dream is to be able to embark on a mission trip to her native country of Palestine, and dedicate the trip to her beloved grandfather. Dr. Salem's externship experience includes the Rosenbloom Center on Vision and Aging, Omni Eye Services, and the Newington VA in Connecticut.
In 2021, Dr. Salem completed a residency in Ocular Disease and Low Vision at the New Jersey Veterans Healthcare System, in East Orange NJ. She has completed extensive training in the treatment and management of conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and cataracts. Dr. Salem specializes in the treatment and management of ocular disease, myopia control, and provides pre/post op care. She has a passion for treating dry eye disease, and providing aesthetic solutions pertaining to the eye.
Dr. Salem is an active member of the American Optometric Association.

I could not be happier with our experience. Dr. Salem was one of the kindest providers I have ever interacted with. This unassuming office is tucked in a strip mall, but the aesthetics inside are amazing. It gives you a cozy vibe as soon as you walk in. Dr. Salem was so kind to my brother who recently suffered a stroke. Her assessment was thorough and she explained everything as she was doing it. Her office staff was lovely and she even helped my brother choose glasses that were within his price range. I have already recommended her to friends and family. We are grateful for finding this compassionate human on Zocdoc! ?

The doctor was very friendly and cared for my vision needs. I told her that I was suffering from severe dry eye, and she prescribed a kind of eyedrops that have helped me tremendously. Dr. Salem will be my eye doctor for the foreseeable future.

This beautifully decorated practice has an atmosphere of sophistication, professionalism, and coziness. From the front desk to the doctor, I was welcomed with warmth and a friendly smile. Check in was simple and easy. My wait time was less than 5 minutes. Dr. Maysoon Salem took my concerns into consideration and provided me with her best advice and care. She listened and addresses all my issues. Very professional, warm, and caring doctor. I have found my primary eye physician! I will definitely recommend to friends and family!
