About Dr. Melvin Guzman
Melvin Guzman, O.D., is an Optometrist at Seeta Eye Centers who has been providing comprehensive optometric eye care in the greater Hudson Valley, New York region for over 20 years. Dr. Guzman received his Doctor of Optometry from the State University of New York (SUNY) College of Optometry and began his practice at Keller Army Community Hospital in West Point, N.Y. At Seeta Eye Centers, Dr. Guzman sees patients for regular eye exams, routine and complex contact lens fittings, management of glaucoma and dry eye problems, and assists Drs. Modi and Wolter in the ongoing care of eye surgery patients, including laser cataract surgery, lens implants, and LASIK.

Very nice at check in, quick clear in instructions and communication on the steps. Dr Guzman was pretty busy, many patients, but they made everything work out effortlessly with great teamwork. Young lady that did first part of my eye test, very thorough in explaining everything. Dr Guzman friendly and warm, as well as staff. I overall great first experience! Told my husband all about it!

First they had a tech give me a whole series of dry eye and other eye test. The results were then shared with the doctor. I then met with Dr. Guzman who has a gentle bedside manner, took time to explain my condition, review several options, answered all my questions, and help me develop a plan including some steroid drops for quick relief.
I was lucky as I also opted for the Luminess Optilight treatment where they were able to get me in later that afternoon which saved me another long drive.
I finally have hope for a cure for my dry eye.

This office was recommended by my husband, who had his first visit recently and had nothing but good things to say about his visit. I received two texts with conflicting appointment times and the person I spoke to when I called to check on the time was very pleasant and able to clarify the issue and make sure I had the time I wanted. When I arrived for my visit, the office was easy to find and the staff who greeted me were very friendly and helpful. The exam was thorough and the purpose behind every aspect of it was explained. Surprisingly, I didn't need eyeglasses, and I was grateful that everyone seemed more concerned with the actual health of my eyes than selling me something I didn't need. Everyone was very personable and professional and I am glad that now I have a team looking out for my eyesight in the long term. I would recommend this office to anyone looking for a compassionate group of professionals who will take the health of their eyes seriously.

Very nice guy, nice office, staff is very kind. Wait was a bit long and I got the impression the doctor was a little rushed. He dresses very dapper which is a small thing but I appreciate it.

The doctor dilated my eyes after I specifically told them not to. I drove myself to my appointment and made them aware of that numerous times. They said they were going to put drops in my eyes, and I asked if it was dilation, and they said no. It was apparent pretty quickly that the doctor lied since I could not see, and I had to call for help from friends since they refused to help me. Very rude people. Do NOT recommend it at all!!!

I recently had an eye exam with Dr. Guzman. I would like to say that he is wonderful. Both my eye glasses & contacts give me perfect sight. The doctor was very patient with all my questions concerning the health of my eyes. He made me feel very comfortable & relaxed.

Very professional office, Dr. Guzman not only took the time to examine me thoroughly addressing my problem, but he also continued to look for different options for me afterwards on his own. I have never had a doctor take the time to do that for me before.
