About Dr. Michael Depenbusch
Michael Depenbusch, M.D., grew up in Hutchinson, Kansas and followed in his father’s footsteps to become a board-certified ophthalmologist. He is experienced with the most recent surgical techniques, and is certified to use the most advanced implants for cataract surgeries.
Dr. Michael Depenbusch is at the heart of Arizona Eye Center. He is a board-certified ophthalmologist ready to provide you the most advanced techniques and technology available, along with his personal commitment to integrity and care.
After receiving his medical degree in 1993 from St. Louis University, Dr. Depenbusch was selected to complete his residency at the prestigious and world-renowned New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, in New York.
In 2005, Dr. Depenbusch acquired Arizona Eye Center and has been providing outstanding eye care for Arizonans.
As surgical director for the Arizona Eye Center, he also has an office in the Gold Canyon area and is an active associate with innovative research investigations. Dr. Depenbusch takes pride in treating general ophthalmology conditions such as cataract, glaucoma, macular degeneration and symptoms of dry eye. Additionally, he offers a number of cosmetic rejuvenating techniques.
Dr. Depenbusch utilizes the most recent surgical techniques for glaucoma, cataract and refractive surgery, including LASIK. And, he is certified to use the most advanced implants for cataract surgeries including all the premium accommodative and multifocal implants.
He is on staff at several Valley hospitals, and is endorsed by The Consumers’ Research Council of America as one of the nation’s “Top Ophthalmologists”.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Depenbusch enjoys spending time with his daughter and he enjoys outdoor sports including waterskiing, hiking, and biking.

Dr Depenbusch did my Cataract Surgery about a year ago and did a fabulous job and follow ups. I'm having a redness issue in my left eye right now and scheduled the soonest available appointment with Dr Depenbusch via Zocdoc yesterday. A short while later I got a call from one of his Office Staff assistants who advised me he was going to be in Surgery when my appointment was scheduled and asked me if I wanted to change the appointment so he could examine my redness eye. I responded yes so the appointment was changed to the soonest available appointment Dr Depenbusch could see me. I'm so happy I get to see him and also thankful he has wonderful staff in his practice.
