About Dr. Michael Goddard
Michael Goddard, DPM provides expert foot and ankle care in our San Clemente, Newport Beach, and Laguna Hills locations. He received his undergraduate degree from California State University, Long Beach and his medical degree from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in Ohio. He went on to complete his residency training in Downtown Los Angeles focusing on reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle.
In addition to his surgical training based in Los Angeles, he was intricately involved in the Baja Project for Crippled Children, a medical and surgical mission which served underprivileged children and young adults in Mexico, Honduras, and El Salvador.
After completion of his residency, Dr. Goddard received advanced surgical training in nerve decompression and microscope surgery of peripheral nerves at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Additionally, he is skilled in Lapiplasty, a revolutionary 3-dimensional bunion correction.
Dr. Goddard has been in private practice for over 20 years and he prides himself in making the extra effort to develop a strong doctor-patient relationship. To this day, he continues to devote 2 weeks a year to care for underprivileged children in Honduras through the organization Operation Footprint.
Dr Goddard lives in South Orange County with his wife and children and spends most of his free time enjoying the outdoors with family and friends.

Dr. Goddard was highly professional in his approach to my issue. I was expecting to have a cortisone shot between the toes (which is what my previous provider would have done.) Dr Goddard provides excellent service 10/10. The podiatrist took his time to assess my Left ankle and reviewed my MRI's diligently. Additionally, he used an Ultrasound to verified my tendons/ ligaments. Finally, he provided a prescription for my Physical therapy and custom orthotics in one appointment.
