About Dr. Michael Nason
Michael S. Nason, O.D. has been practicing cutting edge Optometry since receiving his degree in 1992 from The Pennsylvania College of Optometry. After completing a residency in ocular disease and post surgical care and then serving as head Optometrist at Miami Eye Center, Dr. Nason opened the first of four practices in the West Palm Beach area. In 2021, Dr. Nason and his wife, also an Optometrist, relocated to the Jacksonville area.
Having worn glasses since he was two and a half years old, Dr. Nason was always in awe of his Optometrists. He realized that Optometry was the best career that allowed him to combine his two main interests, healthcare and mathematics, which was his undergraduate major in Lancaster, PA. He continues to combine these strengths with specialty contact lens fits and treating glaucoma. Dr. Nason has been on numerous international and domestic missions to underserved areas providing eye care for decades.
Dr. Nason has been a member of the American Optometric Association since 1988, the Florida Optometric Association since 1992, and served as President of the Palm Beach County Optometric Association from 2001-2002. He is currently a member of the Northeast Florida Optometric Society since 2022.
During off-hours, Dr. Nason loves to attend concerts and biking. He also loves to travel with his wife Carol, especially to visit his grown kids who are all engineers (2 Gators and a Seminole!).
