About Dr. Michael Zysik
Dr. Michael Zysik received his Doctor of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in 1994, and he also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Hartwick College. Dr. Zysik successfully completed clinical rotations at South Boston Community Health Center as well as the VA Medical Centers in Portland, Oregon, and Boston, Massachusetts. After earning his Optometry degree, Dr. Zysik returned to his hometown of Massena, New York, where he worked in a group ophthalmology/optometry practice for three years before moving to and purchasing a private practice in Perrysburg.
Dr. Zysik has been in practice since 1994 and has a special interest in diagnosing and managing glaucoma and macular degeneration as well as providing surgical co-management of cataract and refractive surgeries. He also enjoys fitting specialty contact lenses, such as scleral and multi focal contact lenses. Dr. Zysik likes meeting and getting to know many different people and says it is very rewarding to improve and preserve a patient’s vision – our most valuable sense.
Dr. Zysik and his wife, Dr. Julie Zysik who is also an Optometrist, have three children and have become part of the Perrysburg community since 1999. He is a proud member of the Ohio and American Optometric Associations and the Perrysburg Rotary.

I've been visiting this office for the past few years. They're very courteous and prompt during visits, and they have several advanced machines that I haven't seen at other optometrists. Their frames selection is good, and they are on top of contact lens technology and new releases.

Having not seen an optometrist in many moons I was a bit apprehensive. I had nothing to worry about. The efficient staff was phenomenal! Professional, friendly and welcoming. My exam was thorough and all of my questions were answered and well explained. Overall I would give the experience 5 stars and would recommend this practice to everyone!
