About Dr. Michelle Melanson
Michelle Melanson, MD, was raised in central Florida and graduated cum laude in microbiology from the University of Florida. She earned her medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine and completed residency in ob-gyn at the University of Virginia.
Dr. Melanson sees both obstetrics and gynecology patients at Women’s Care. She has special interests in obstetrics care, management of abnormal bleeding, infertility, pelvic pain, contraceptive management, and minimally invasive surgery. She is certified in the fundamentals of laparoscopic surgery and performs minimally invasive surgery including robotic surgery.
She has an identical twin sister who is also a practicing ob-gyn in Jacksonville. In her free time, she enjoys the beach, running, family, and her puppy.

Dr. Michelle Melanson is by far the best dr I have ever seen. She listens to my concerns, does not minimize my pain, and offers help in anyway she can. She is exceptionally gentle to the point that a normal Pap smear was completely painless where in the past they have brought me to tears. If I could see her for all my healthcare needs, I would. As a younger, more alternative looking person, I’m often times brushed off or outright ignored by doctors. Dr. Melanson is the first dr I’ve ever been to that took me seriously and provided excellent medical care that you really should be able to just expect.

So impressed! Beautiful building, clean modern offices. The staff was very friendly and competent. The doctor was amazing!!! She asked a lot of questions and thoroughly explained everything she was doing. She laid out a plan for additional diagnostics and really eased my anxiety about my issue. Most highly recommend!!!

The only thing on the downside is that on the first reception there was nobody clarifying what I should do, if I should wait next to the desk, is there was a waiting line. I just assumed I would be checked in at the speciality window. Was a little confusing

Dr. Melanson and staff were friendly, prompt and helpful, from front desk through check out. I was highly impressed with how little I had to wait (my appointment was at 4 and I was out the door within an hour). The medical assistant (or nurse) and Dr. Melanson both listened to everything I had to say, asked questions, and were thorough in what I was to expect during the visit and after and at no point did I feel rushed or dismissed. I'm happy I found this group!
