Dr. Michelle Mitchell was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She had the good fortune of meeting her now husband in high school, and they have shared many adventures since! Dr. Mitchell always knew she wanted to practice some type of primary healthcare, but it wasn't until her senior year at Rice University that optometry caught her eye. After earning her Doctor of Optometry degree, graduating summa cum laude from the University of Houston College of Optometry, Dr. Mitchell practiced in Connecticut for five years. While Texas and Connecticut hold a special place in her heart, Colorado was calling with its natural beauty and family ties. Dr. Mitchell enjoys the whole scope of optometry, from pediatric exams to perfecting glasses and contact lens prescriptions to medical eye care. She is passionate about providing excellent eye care in the context of the whole person, as who you are should always be an important and valued part of your healthcare. Dr. Mitchell has two little kids and enjoys soaking up the chaos and joy of the little years. When the kids are in bed, you might find her scoping out the best margarita in town, but more likely eating ice cream on the couch.
