About Dr. Milele Francis
Dr. Milele Francis is an OB-GYN serving the community of Smyrna, GA. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from Spelman College in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Francis then returned to her home state to attend medical school at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, MA, where she received her Doctor of Medicine degree. Upon completion of medical school, she and her husband moved to Hartford, CT, where she completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center. After residency, Dr. Francis worked for two years in private practice in Connecticut before relocating to Georgia. She has been with WellStar South Cobb Ob-Gyn since 2004.
Dr. Francis takes a special interest in preventative women’s health and education. In particular, she enjoys working with adolescents and young adults on STD prevention, awareness, and reproductive health issues.
She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Francis also serves on the board of the Spina Bifida Association of Georgia.
In her free time, Dr. Francis enjoys spending time with her husband and children, playing tennis and golf, and reading fiction novels. She is also cultivating a love of gardening. She and her family live in Smyrna, Georgia.

Dr. Francis has been my doctor for over 10 years. She is also my daughter's doctor. I trust her explicitly. She's patient, she listens, she's caring. We need more doctors at WellStar like her.

With the exception of Dr. Francis being in such high demand because she is so great, I have no complaints. Dr. Francis' bedside manner is perfection - professional and caring at the same time. I always feel seen and heard by her. And that sentiment goes for the team as well. Everyone seems invested in the patients.
