About Dr. Mitchell Dobrzelewski

Mitchell Dobrzelewski, O.D., earned his Doctor of Optometry from Ferris State University in 1988 and his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Michigan State University. Originally from Gaylord, Michigan, and a graduate of St. Mary's High School, he has been practicing in the Lansing area since 1995. Over the years, Dr. Dobrzelewski has gained experience working with Blue Care Network, private practices, and commercial optometry settings. In 1999, he opened DeWitt Optometry and later co-founded CareFree Optometry in Lansing in 2008. Passionate about teaching, Dr. Dobrzelewski has mentored optometry students as a clinical facilitator for the Michigan College of Optometry at the Jackson Prison Hospital Eye Clinic. Today, he continues to guide students at DeWitt Optometry. A proud Spartan, Dr. Dobrzelewski loves attending MSU events, golfing, landscaping, and traveling with his wife, Martha, and their son, Aidan. He's also an active member of St. Jude Parish, Kiwanis, and the Knights of Columbus.
