“I was immediately called about two hour before appointment to reconfirm appointment. arrived and was spoken to politely and was easy able to fill out the pre forms via tablet that was super fast and easy. the receptionist explained my plan so I has able to navigate my options very clearly .. the doctor was very friendly and easily explained all my eye issues . the service was very fast and perfect I didn't feel Iike I waited at all. there was a lot of clients and everyone seemed happy and there was a older couple selecting glasses and I could tell the wife was trying to save as much money as possible with out saying it . the nice representative navigated the situation to help the old couple find glasses and showed her options that where similar style but obviously savings for her . showed u the compassion they have for their clients . as for me I might have took a bit longer to decide I was the last out of store . but was able to find three eyeglasses and contacts . very happy”

As a native Houstonian, Dr. Monica Jones has lived and worked in the Houston area her whole life. She spent four years at Texas A&M University in College Station, earning her bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science before returning home to earn her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston. For the past 15 years, Dr. Jones has practiced family care optometry, embracing the challenge of meeting the diverse eye care needs of all her patients. Recently married, many of her former patients now know her as Dr. Monica Bertrand. She happily balances her time between work and home, enjoying moments with her husband, two daughters, and a large extended family. In her free time, she enjoys reading mystery and detective novels or watching action movies.

Dr. Monica was great! She walked me through every exam, asked questions, gave me time to respond and answered all the questions I had. She’s very humorous, it feels like I’m chatting with a family member. Also, I love that this office doesn’t do the exam that blows air in your eye, AND they carry gorgeous designer frames.

I love the fact that I received text updates from booking, and even after my appointment. I was able to see the doctor right away, there was no waiting for an appointment, even with me being a new patient. The staff was amazing, very friendly! The Dr. Monica was also very friendly, nice, down-to-earth, and at the same time, very professional! I love the fact that the staff, even Dr. Monica dressed in regular clothing, maybe because it was on a Friday. A big plus that you can order your glasses and contacts in the same office...no going elsewhere because everything is under one roof. The office was very nice and clean. Equipment was updated to new technology...no air puffs in the eyes and no eye drops to dilate the eyes, which made the eye exam a very pleasant experience. Office is not far from where I live, and it's in a nice area. I would highly recommend Memorial Eye Center and Dr. Monica Jones.

I walked in and was greeted with smiles.A little extra time was taken to ensure all insurance was listed to get the best prices for me. When I met Dr. Jones, she was so welcoming. Very unassuming which put me at ease. Not the typical, I am Doctor, when she spoke to me. She showed me my images, on large screen, and explained everything to me, while answering questions. Everything seemed to be quite modern, no more eye dilation. After, the optometrist assisted with the glasses, and we will see the final results in 2weels.
The best part was not being rushed. I will be bringing my dad to her now.
