About Dr. Namrata Nandakumar

Dr. Namrata Nandakumar is a highly trained board-certified specialist in retina and cataract surgery. After receiving her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine, she completed an ophthalmology residency at Tufts University New England Eye Center where she excelled in managing conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, dry eyes and other general ophthalmologic diseases. She then did fellowship training for an additional two years at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, specializing in surgical and medical diseases of the retina. She further went on to get a research fellowship at the Schepens Research Institute of Mass Eye and Ear, in keeping with her commitment to research and delivering cutting edge care to her patients. She has over 15 years of extensive clinical and surgical experience and is committed to providing the highest level of ocular health for all her patients. She is on staff at Massachusetts Eye and Ear, and on faculty at Brown University's Warren Alpert School of Medicine. She is routinely involved in teaching residents, has lectured at various national conferences, and serves as an advisory board member on various ophthalmology focus groups.
