About Dr. Nicole Mcconnell

Dr. Nicole McConnell is board eligible in general obstetrics and gynecology. She is an active member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the American Medical Women’s Association. A native of the Tampa Bay area, Dr. McConnell received her bachelor’s degree in both psychology and microbiology & cell science from the University of Florida. She was part of the inaugural medical school class and earned her medical degree from Florida Atlantic University. She then went on to complete her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Louisville in Kentucky, where she served as chief resident in her final year and was part of the wellness initiative within her program. During residency, Dr. McConnell presented research on the effects of pessaries on the vaginal microenvironment at a national conference and was published in the Gold Journal. She also took a special interest in da Vinci robotic surgery and became robotic certified. Other areas of interest include high-risk obstetrics, family planning and menopause. During her free time, Dr. McConnell enjoys going to the beach, reading, yoga and running.

Fantastic experience! I feel like Dr. McConnell listened to my concerns and reviewed my record from my previous doctor so I don’t repeat any procedures or tests already done. She explained everything to me and made me feel very comfortable after having an awful experience with my previous doctor at another office. Dr. McConnell is the most normal, fun, professional, intelligent OBGYN I have ever been to. She did not make me feel rushed at all, sat and listened to my symptoms rant, had great recommendations, and was overall just fun to talk to. She made me feel like I was talking to a friend.
