About Dr. Nicole Nguyen

Dr. Nicole Nguyen was born and raised in Northern Virginia. She completed her undergraduate education at James Madison University, where she graduated with the highest honor of Summa Cum Laude. She then ventured down to sunny Fort Lauderdale, Florida for Optometry school. At Nova Southeastern University, Dr. Nguyen graduated with honors with a Doctor of Optometry degree, as well as a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Vision Sciences. While in optometry school, she completed a medical optometry externship at Fort Lauderdale Eye Institute and a primary care externship in South Carolina at Wm. Jennings Bryan Dorn VA Medical Center. Upon finishing optometry school, Dr. Nguyen moved back home to Virginia. Dr. Nguyen is an active member of the American Optometric Association, Virginia Optometric Association, and the Northern Virginia Optometric Society. Dr. Nguyen enjoys traveling in her free time and tries to go on one extended international trip every year. So far, her favorite country for sight-seeing is New Zealand, and her favorite country for a cultural experience is Japan. She will find an excuse to travel anywhere, and she loves checking out the food scene in every city. Fun fact – Her favorite food is sushi.
