About Dr. Nicole Pederson
Born and raised in Western New York, Nicole Pederson earned her B.S. degree in biology from Niagara University and her Doctor of optometry degree from NOVA Southeastern University. She completed externships at Katzen Eye group in Baltimore, Maryland and the Wilmington VA in Wilmington, Delaware. Dr. Pederson is passionate about personalized, patient-centered care that is tailored to meet each patient’s unique needs. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her family, walks with her dog, reading, gardening, and live music.

When I entered the office, the front desk staff made eye contact with me but did not acknowledge, greet, or assist me. I waited, expecting someone to help, but instead observed another patient of a different race enter and immediately receive a warm greeting and prompt assistance. Since no one acknowledged me, I approached the desk myself. After handing over my ID, the staff member prioritized another patient, a white customer who arrived after me, by handing my ID to another associate while assisting that individual first. As a result, I waited even longer despite arriving first. Whether intentional or not, the experience left me feeling overlooked and treated differently than other patients. Everyone deserves to be acknowledged and treated with the same courtesy and respect. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so no one else leaves your office feeling the way I did.

10 out of 10 out of 10. i finally managed to find a great doctor when even my instance portal was failing me. she was very kind, knowledgeable, friendly, and extremely helpful when explaining things to me and even gave me a bunch of trial contact lenses that will last me quite a while before i have to buy more of my own.
all of the other staff were super friendly too and made the entire experience very quick and comfortable. i look forward to coming back to pick up my frames (only a week turnaround) and seeing the friendly staff again.
