My favorite part of psychiatry is how it's rooted in human connection--the privilege of sitting with another person in their most vulnerable moments, truly listening to their stories, and then walking alongside them as they grow. Together, we get to learn from each other about resilience and what it means to be human. Raised by a family of Vietnamese immigrants, I love exploring how cultural background intertwines with and shapes mental health experiences. I find deep fulfillment in creating connections that empower families to navigate challenges together. I also grew up during the dawn of the internet and have developed an interest in gaming culture. This has helped me recognize how technology can connect and also overwhelm us. It is a personal interest of mine to help guide young people of today to find balance so their relationships can also thrive beyond the screen.
