About Dr. Nitasha Khanna
Dr. Khanna is a LASIK/Cataract surgeon and Cornea specialist at the Nielsen Eye Center. Dr. Khanna graduated from a seven year BA/MD program at Temple University and Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. While there, she was nominated into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, which acknowledges medical students in the top of each graduating class. Dr. Khanna then went on to complete her medical internship at Pennsylvania Hospital, a UPenn affiliate. She completed her Ophthalmology residency at Brown University, during which she traveled nationally and internationally to several large academic conferences for her research endeavors. Dr. Khanna completed her training at the University of Maryland for a Cornea and External Disease fellowship where she learned from leaders in the field.
Dr. Khanna is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, and Women in Ophthalmology.

The staff was amazing! The nurse that helped me get ready was super nice and had an amazing personality and we kept on talking haha! Zocdoc told me that my appointment was moved to a Tuesday when it was originally on a Thursday but when I showed up they said my appointment was still Thursday. Must have been a glitch on Zocdoc side but the person at the desk immediately put me on the schedule and apologized many times, she was super nice and helpful. Even though it took about an hour and a half before I saw the doctor, it was super packed and everyone was rushing around trying to get everyone looked at. Nurses were apologizing left and right and it shows that these people really care for their patients and honestly I didn’t even mind the wait. At the end of the day, I found out my prescription and I left a happy camper.
