“I did not see Dr. Swamy as she was out that day. I saw the male doctor. He was excellent. But the nurses, or assistants, were a bit unprofessional. They kept leaving the door open while I was in a gown. No big deal, it was just weird. The doctor was so good though. He took the time to answer all of my questions and explained everything to me. He made me feel so optimistic about my future with allergies. ”

Dr. Nithya Swamy graduated with high honors and Phi Beta Kappa from The University of Texas at Austin and received her medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. She completed an Internal Medicine residency at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas where she received the Steven Rinner Outstanding Intern award. Dr. Swamy also acted as Chief Resident in her final year. She joins Allergy and Asthma Care Centers after completing a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Swamy is an active member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology as well as the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. She has presented her research at state and national meetings and is published in the Annals of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.
A native of Texas, Dr. Swamy now calls Northern Virginia home. Her personal interests include traveling, yoga, spending time with friends and family and playing with her dog.

I've been a patient of Dr Swamy for 3 years. I've had a number of urgent allergy issues and she is always responsive and takes time to listen to all of my concerns and questions. I know I'm in good hands with Dr Swamy and highly recommend her.

I had a chronic cough for almost a year. I had seen a regular doctor at least eight times and a pulmonologist five times about it and neither could figure out what was wrong. Dr. Swamy diagnosed me and prescribed medicine that stopped the cough after one appointment.
She's also a warm and friendly doctor who made me feel like she really cared about fixing what was wrong with me. Highly recommended.

Great visit with very nice staff. The doctor was a few minutes late, as it was the start of the morning and I had the first appointment, but the staff were very nice. The nurse staff and doctor are excellent! I can't say enough good things. Actually in the office right now and had to leave a review. Everyone in the office were highly professional and accommodating. They apologized for the wait and I didn't wait long at all. It may have been 5 minutes between the time I finished paperwork and when they called me back.

The office was clean and friendly. The nurses would greet the patients by name as they walked in--it was a very comfortable place to be. Dr. Swamy listens, is articulate and very helpful. Although she said she didn't think my migraines were directly linked to allergies, she went out of her way to find me some headache specialists in the area. Definitely one of the best doctors I have seen.

I loved Dr. Swamy.
I made my appointment last minute and the office contacted me right away. I requested allergy testing but didn't realize i had to be off of antihistamines for a few days before. Dr. Swamy still agreed to see me. She listened to symptoms, provided me with information I needed, and sent me to have blood work done. She was able to ease my fears about the issues I was having. Her bedside manner was excellent.

I switched from another allergist in Tysons Corner, due to experiencing three years of very poor service (bad attitudes) and administration. Dr Swamy is knowledgeable, timely, professional, great with kids and really takes her time to explain things. Her staff members are the same.
