About Dr. Noor Abushagur
Dr. Noor Abushagur, residency trained therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist, was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. She completed her undergraduate studies at The University of Texas El Paso and received her Doctor of Optometry degree at The Ohio State University College of Optometry.
She then completed a residency training at the Community Eye Clinic in Fort Worth, Texas, where she received extended training and education in the management of ocular diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and much more. She additionally received training in specialty contact lenses aimed for the management and vision rehabilitation of diseased or traumatic corneas.
Dr. Noor strongly emphasizes the importance of taking extra time with each patient, listening to their concerns, answering every question, and making sure that each patient is educated on what options they may have.
Dr. Noor is a proud Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. She is an active member of the American Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association, Northeast Texas Optometric Society, and treasurer for the Tarrant County Optometric Society. She is also a member of Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society. As a student, she was awarded the Student of the Year award in addition to The Ohio State University Board of Trustees Student Recognition award.
Dr. Noor is passionate about giving back to the community, both locally and internationally. She has gone on multiple trips to Central America and Africa, providing eyecare to underserved populations. She also enjoys lecturing to colleagues locally and nationally.
In her free time, she loves traveling, spending time with friends and family, and working out.

Dr. Noor and the other members of the team were very friendly and took the time to explain things to me! I thought the exams and testing were very thorough as well. They also have a great selection of glasses as well!

The office was so beautiful and clean. They had new equipment and the visit was fast. As soon as I arrived I checked in which literally was just giving my license and insurance card since all additional paperwork was done via my email beforehand. I was checked in and under 5 minutes. Immediately after check in I sat down for maybe 2 mins then I was taken back for the testing which only lasted roughly 15 mins I then went to examine room and seen the doctor she was through and answered all questions explained everything I had to know and my insurance was accepted. The price I paid over bc of my choice of lens and frames only cost me additional to fee so small though. They offered all types of designers too. That was even upgraded progressive style as well I give them 5 stars
