About Dr. Olivia Carleo
Dr. Olivia Carleo, a therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist, grew up in the Dallas area, where she attended The Hockaday School. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology at Austin College and pursued her doctorate of optometry degree at The University of Houston College of Optometry.
Dr. Olivia was one of a limited number of students to receive a Clinical Letter of Excellence recognizing her success in Family Practice. She understands that the health of the eyes can be directly related to the overall health of the individual. She has extensive training in the management of dry eye disease, ocular allergies, glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Olivia also enjoys presenting her patients with new spectacle and contact lens technologies (such as bifocal contact lenses) that allow her patients to have the best vision possible. She has forged great relationships with local ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure that her patients have the most comprehensive care available. She strongly believes in communication between all doctors that make up a patient’s “healthcare team,” and she will take the time to answer any questions a patient may have.
Dr. Olivia is a member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, Dallas County Optometric Society, Vision Source Network of Independent Optometrists and the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society. She is also a lifetime member of the Italian Club of Dallas. She considers herself a “foodie,” and enjoys trying new, fresh and foreign cuisine. In her free time, she loves traveling, languages, playing the piano and spending time with family. Dr. Olivia Carleo looks forward to taking care of you and your family at Vision Veritas!

She was great, and all the staff were great! I had almost no down time- they got me in and out super fast. They are also following Covid protocol very well. I couldn’t walk around and browse glasses like I usually like to do because of covid (they have to clean every frame someone touches) but there was someone there who found my several pairs that matched the styles I was looking for and I ended up going with one of those. Overall great experience!

Very professional staff. The office environment was great -- high ceilings, bright, airy -- unlike a lot of dingy optical offices. This was my first visit so time will tell if the recommendations and prescriptions are good!

Loved Dr. Carleo and the whole staff! Everyone was wonderful! Dr. Carleo found a pigment in my eye and quickly ensured that we would get more images with the optimap, and would follow up with me to ensure I received the best care possible, though a bad outcome is extremely unlikely. One of the nurse aids (I didn't get her name) helped me find the perfect pair of glasses for my face. I have the face of a small child and struggle to find frames that fit my face, and she NAILED IT! I generally have a fear of doctors which is why I turn to ZocDoc to find the best fit for me. Thank you so much for being awesome!!
