“This was my first visit with Dr. Patina Lui for a routine annual check-up. She seemed nice and professional, but I did feel a bit rushed during the appointment. She spoke quickly and moved through things without giving me much of a chance to ask questions. I actually had to interrupt to ask something, which made me feel a little uncomfortable. Overall, I appreciated her efficiency, but I would have preferred a bit more time and space to discuss my concerns.”

About Dr. Patina Lui
Dr. Patina Lui started practicing with Downtown Women OB/GYN in September 2019. With a lifelong connection to primary care, she has found her passion in OBGYN, where she enjoys building and maintaining strong relationships with her patients throughout their pregnancies and long after.
She graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa, receiving an undergraduate degree in Neuroscience from Barnard College, Columbia University and her medical degree from SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine. Dr. Lui then completed her residency in OBGYN at Mt. Sinai/St. Luke’s Roosevelt. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, she is excited to continue caring for the women of New York City in all aspects of both general obstetrics and gynecology.

I had an amazing experience at my doctor's appointment. Everyone was pleasant and attentive throughout my visit. Check in took 2 minutes. I waited less than 5 minutes before I was taked to exam room. Vitals taken in 10 minutes and barely got gown on before doctor was coming in for exam. LOL Dr. Lui is pleasant, attentive, and thorough. She put me at ease and answered all my questions and concerns.

Dr. Lui and her staff were extremely warm, friendly, and helpful! They answered all my questions and had me in and out in less than half an hour. Dr. Lui made was easy to talk to and really made me feel valued and at ease. The office was modern and clean. I highly recommend!

I didn’t feel listened to by this doctor. I had lots of questions and was told there was nothing to be done or “that’s just the way it is”. I only received a blood test after asking for one multiple times. Very disappointing.

Dr. Lui is an amazing physician who is both easy-going and professional. She answered all of my questions and I never felt like there was any rush with our visit. The office space is quite compact considering it's based in Soho Manhattan but the examination rooms are well designed as the chair faces away from the door and they have fabric gowns to wear. I will definitely be coming back in the future.
