About Dr. Patrick Couchot
Dr. Patrick Couchot practices Non-Operative Sports Medicine and he focuses on diagnosing and treating acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries. Using a robust skill set developed over years of training, Dr. Couchot can use diagnostic and therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound and minimally invasive procedures to treat a broad spectrum of non-surgical orthopedic injuries. When developing treatment programs with his patients, he provides patient-centered care to ensure the best results.
His medical studies began at the University of South Florida, where he completed both medical school and a residency in Family Medicine. Inspired by his own athletic background, as well as his desire to help his patients return to the activities they want and need to do, he developed a passion for Sports medicine and eventually completed his Sports Medicine Fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital. While there, he was able to provide medical coverage for multiple NCAA D3 schools as well as professional and local dance studios, such as Boston Ballet. He continued his post-graduate education with a second fellowship in Sports Endocrinology and Female Athlete Medicine. He pursued this additional training to delve deeper into the whole-body effects of exercise and training on bone health, reproductive health, and the endocrinological system. He applies the holistic approach he learned during this fellowship to each one of his patients.
One of Dr. Couchot’s goals is to remain athletically driven throughout his life.

Maybe the worst experience I’ve ever had with any doctor in my entire life. If you are in pain and trying to find a positive solution to your problem that’s not rooted in fear do not expect this place to give you anything but crushed hope, a prescription and push you toward a surgery you likely don’t need. They have no idea how to speak to patients dealing with chronic injury. This place maybe good for an ankle sprain or twisted wrist but I wouldn’t trust them giving advice on any major structural problem in your body.

The doctor was really great, ex.: he told me the results of the x-ray right when he came back in the room. He asked questions and if I had any, and gave clear instructions for care based on my life. It's scary and stressful, and he was steady, kind and clear.
The office wasn't as great, fair warning. I waited over an hour and no one checked in with an update etc., they said they didn't have the forms I filled in online so I did that again, and that they didn't have the appointment when I called to see if I could change the time. A couple of those might be mis-syncs with zocdoc?

Friendly, competent staff and doctor! Almost zero wait time. The doctor went out of the way to make sure I saw the best PT possible for my specific injury.

Very good friendly took the time to listen to me. Gave good advice on how to get better results with my injury. my only complaint is nobody never picks up the phone there and it’s hard to get in contact when you need to talk to somebody or to book an appointment with human

Dr. Couchot is such a fantastic physician. He was easy to talk to and really understood right away what was bothering me. He was patient and took his time to address my concerns and worries about my ankle that has been bothering me. Everything was explained clearly and he was quick in figuring out why my ankle hurt. Not only did he address the symptoms, but also provided instructions for long-term care and rehab for when I get back to exercising fully. I definitely suggest him for any concerns about lingering sports-related or other functional injuries.
