About Dr. Paul Mann

Dr. Paul Mann specializes in refractive surgery. He has been performing blade-free LASIK since 2004, and he has performed more than 40,000 refractive procedures. Dr. Mann also specializes in cataract surgery with femtosecond lasers and presbyopia-correcting intraocular lens implants. In addition, Dr. Mann particularly enjoys implanting phakic IOLs to correct extreme nearsightedness in patients who do not qualify for LASIK and helping patients with keratoconus with corneal collagen crosslinking treatments to provide corneal stability. Dr. Paul Mann joined his father in practice in 2004. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, and his M.B.A. from Rice University while attending medical school at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. Dr. Mann was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society while in medical school. He then completed his internship and residency training at the John A. Moran Eye Center of the University of Utah. Dr. Paul Mann served as a Clinical Fellow of Refractive and Corneal Surgery at the Pepose Vision Institute in Missouri before coming home to Houston. A Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Mann is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. He is also a founding member of the American and European College of Ophthalmic Surgeons. He currently serves as the Medical Director of Mann Eye Institute and is a past President of Benevolent Missions International, a Houston area non-profit organization that provides eye care to the indigent in Belize, and Fiji. He is on the Board of Trustees of the Houston Symphony and is a past Director of the Executive Association of Houston. Dr. Mann spearheads Mann Eye Institute’s participation in Christian Community Service Center’s vision screening programs for disadvantaged children.

I loved my last eye doctor so much, I never thought I'd find one to match him or his staff. I was more than happy and thrilled with Dr. Mann and especially the staff of Mann Eye Institute. Everyone was warm and friendly. Everyone seemed to like their job and did it well. If I didn't understand or hear everything, I asked and they explained again. No one was impatient. I felt like the only patient there. I recommend highly this entire place and all it's people!
I would definitely go back. Everybody behaved professionally. Only that I had to wait 20 minutes to see the doctor after all preliminary exams were made.
Very interesting, new for us place. I was impressed with curtesy of staff, ambiance, newer technologies. Doctor is very friendly and knowledgeable. Hopefully next appointment will be the same and I will get better news about my issues.

The clinic is nice staff is nice as well Dr Jennifer Melton is incredibly knowledgeable and so active in the care of my corneal disease . Im giving it a 4 star because you will spend a good hr or 2hrs there very rarely I was out of my appt in less than an hour .
