About Dr. Pedro J Cruz Torres
Pedro J. Cruz, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist with Orlando Health Physician Associates. He provides patients with a full range of gynecological and obstetrical care through all stages of life. He also is certified as a da Vinci system surgeon. This robotic-assisted technology enables Dr. Cruz to perform complex minimally invasive procedures with precision and accuracy, providing the most advanced care to his patients.
Dr. Cruz earned his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in San Juan and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Puerto Rico in Cayey. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at University Hospital in San Juan. He then served as a major in the United States Army for five years and was an OB-GYN at General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital in Missouri.
Dr. Cruz is board certified by and a fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (FACOG). He also is a member of the Florida Medical Association and Pan-American Medical Association. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Dr. Cruz is not my regular physician so I was initially a little hesitant. However I didn't want to have to reschedule the appointment, so I went with it. He completely set my mind at ease and made me comfortable. I really appreciated the fact because I was a new patient to him, he came in and spoke with me prior to doing the exam. He was very professional and attentive, and I would be glad to have him as my regular physician.

Dr. Cruz and staff have always been amazing. I chose Dr. Cruz as my OB after he quite literally saved my sisters life. So far he has been such a phenomenal doctor. He is kind to myself and my husband and truly seems to care. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Cruz and the office staff at the Orange City office are amazing. They all deliver top notch quality care. I had complications with a miscarriage and had to have an emergency D and C at Winnie, from check in to triage nurse to OB attending to the entire OR staff, every person I came into contact with was truly compassionate, patient and informative. I will continue to see Dr. Cruz and seek care through Orlando Health because my personal experience with him and the rest of his colleagues are simply great. My hope is that Orlando Health continues to put their employees first because they are truly the ones that make all the difference in a patients experience. Thank you!

Dr. Cruz met with me for the first time at this visit (due to Dr. Odom's medical leave). He knew all of my medical history and asked questions about my history. He was extremely kind and thoughtful and took extra pre-cautions to make sure my baby and I were safe at my 28 week appointment. I sung his praises to everyone I knew. I'm very thankful for how intentional and caring he was. While under fetal monitoring he came and checked in on me 3 times to make sure I was okay. He went above and beyond, and was extremely professional. I'm very excited to be on his service for my baby's delivery and continued care.

From the person that helped me when I got there, the nurse and obviously the doctor, were very kind and attentive. I loved their professionalism and they were able to explain my situation, as they spoke Spanish!!

I appreciate the fact that I never feel rushed in any type of visit I've had. No matter how many questions I have (and I usually have a lot) the physicians and staff take the time to answer all questions to help me devise an acceptable game plan. I'm never made to feel that I'm not in control of my own health plan. I always feel like it is a team effort between myself, my spouse, and the physicians and staff of Orlando Health.
