About Dr. Peter Kemble

Dr. Peter Kemble, O.D., received his Doctor of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in 2025, graduating with clinical honors. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Maine in 2021, where he also competed as a student-athlete in baseball. Following optometry school, Dr. Kemble completed a residency in ocular disease with the VA Maine Healthcare System, training at the Togus VA Medical Center in Augusta and the Portland VA Outpatient Clinic. He is focused on providing comprehensive eye care and enjoys managing ocular disease while building lasting relationships with his patients. A native of Bangor, Maine, Dr. Kemble became an optometrist because he was drawn to the combination of managing complex eye conditions while serving in a primary eye care role. He finds the greatest reward in helping patients achieve their best possible vision while getting to know them over time. Outside of the office, Dr. Kemble enjoys spending time with his wife and their cat, as well as relaxing at camp whenever possible.
