About Dr. Pooja Gupta
Born and raised in India, I earned my medical school education in 2001 from Lady Hardinge Medical College (New Delhi, India) and also completed post graduate training in Obstetrics and Gynecology back home. I chose Obstetrics and Gynecology because of how wonderful it felt each time I participated in welcoming a newborn into this world. I find great satisfaction in encouraging women to set goals for their health.
I came to the United States in 2005 and did another residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Luke’s Hospital and University in Pennsylvania because of my love for this field. I became board certified and practiced many years in Philadelphia suburbs and Main Line Area where I had the pleasure of taking care of different ages and ethnicities.

They made me schedule another appt despite accepting my initial appointment. Scheduling this appointment was such a headache, as I had to work around their ridiculous scheduling process. I was told that despite having an appointment made more than 2 weeks in advance that the doctor “may or may not” be available to show up since they would be on call. I took that chance and a week later, I got another call saying that the doctor was no longer available for my appointment. I cancelled both appointments on the spot. I would not recommend this practice to anyone; had I stated that I may or may not show up to my appointment, that would be seen as disrespectful and inconveniencing the staff. I rarely leave reviews for anything but the lack of professionalism in their scheduling process was way too much for me to ignore.

I had a teledoc appointment and the doctor came in half an hour late to the appointment. I had to go to office so I drove while i was still in the meeting room. and had to take call from parking lot. so annoying.

Dr. Gupta is a very nice dr. She did my annual exam and it was extremely pain less. She has also given me really valuable pre-natal counseling. She is very positive and always helps in making lifestyle changes vs putting you on medication.

Dr Pooja Gupta is extremely knowledgeable and professional but feels like she is always in a rush and gives very short/rude answers and is judgemental about the questions I ask. I would have had a great experience if she could have answered my questions patiently.

I did not like my experience with Dr. Pooja Gupta. This review is purely on her bedside manners and not her ability in anyway. Her bedside manners are awful. I always felt rushed. She has no patience to answer your queries. She made me feel inadequate. I will not recommend this doctor if you're someone who is sensitive and is looking for emotional support from your doctor. You're better off elsewhere.
However, her assistant and front office folks are very cordial and responses over the emails are super quick. I appreciated it. Unfortunately, because of the terrible experience with the doctor, I decided to changed my doctor.

I booked an appointment with Dr. Gupta after reading all the wonderful reviews. However, I did not have a great experience with her. Not sure, if she had a rough day or something. But she was very unfriendly, gave short answers like yes/no/shrugs for all the questions I asked. If a patient does not understand something well, I consider it the doctor's responsibility to make the patient at home and explain about the issue. I did not see any of that when I visited Dr Gupta. She acted very confused and dismissive by my choice of words. I would have appreciated some patience and understanding there. After all, I am not a biology person and that's why I was consulting her.

The visit with Dr. Gupta was great HOWEVER the next day, she called my Father (listed as my emergency contact) and left him a voicemail instead of me and that’s how the news was broken to him about my pregnancy. I am pretty upset over the violation of my privacy and sharing my medical information with someone other than me. Don’t know if I will be returning after this, despite her seeming like a great doctor.

I would highly recommend Dr. Gupta and her staff to anyone looking for their provided services. I have been very pleased with all of my visits I've had with her and she is very caring and kind. I started to see her when I was expecting my second child and decided to stay with her through out all my woman needs. I recently seen her with a emergency and her and her staff were on top of everything that was needed to get me seen or even get services done like Ultrasounds xrays etc. I was seen asap with my urgent matter and I was well taken care of.
