About Dr. Prema Modak
Dr. Prema Modak received her medical degree through a combined 7 yr. dual B.S./M.D. degree program. She received her B.S. degree from Stevens Institute of Technology, majoring in Chemical Biology and her M.D. degree from Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School in her home state of New Jersey. She completed her medical training in comprehensive ophthalmology from the George Washington University Hospital, where she served as chief resident.
After graduation, Dr. Modak worked at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia for several years, and has been in private practice in the Washington, DC area. She is a board certified ophthalmologist and has a special interest in integrative ophthalmology and prevention of age aquired eye conditions. She believes in treating the whole patient, specifically using ocular health as a window to overall physical well-being.

Front desk - Jasmine - was helpful, friendly, and professional.
Caeser was great - very friendly, professional, and good-natured (despite it being Friday morning).
Dr. Modak was great as well. Very professional, friendly, and explained everything to me. She also answered all of my questions.
Summary: I usually don't give reviews unless I had an exceptional experience. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Cannot recommend this place more.

Dr. Modak was great, she put my mind at ease about the eye issues I was having and had a great staff as well. I didn't feel rushed at all and I felt like everyone listened to me and what I had to say. She gave me a clear treatment plan and told me to get back in touch with her at any time if I had any questions, 10/10. Truly wonderful experience! I wish all docs were like her.

Dr. Modak is extremely knowledgeable! She asked a lot of questions to determine the route cause of my vision issues and put together a plan to get me back on track (not regular aging eyes issues either). I have an upcoming appt with her to check-in on my progress, and can say I left the office feeling at ease and thankful that I found her on Zocdoc. There is a closer office to me in Gainesville, but I plan on coming back to the Fairfax office to see her for all my future appts.
