About Dr. Qadium Qayum

Dr. Qadium Qayum, aka "Dr. Q", is a residency-trained optometrist joining Moyes Eye Center. He is an Alabama native where he earned his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. While at the university, he gained clinical experience in ocular disease, primary eye care, and pediatric eye care. Prior to optometry school, Dr. Qayum graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. In 2015, Dr. Qayum moved to Kansas City to pursue patient care in private practice. He has since built a broad patient base across the greater Kansas City area. In addition to providing excellent patient care, he has demonstrated a commitment to serving our community by providing care at the federal prison in Leavenworth, KS and caring for the homeless and low income patients at the Kansas City Free Eye Clinic. Dr. Qayum enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
