Dr. Rachel Kassenoff graduated from Washington University with a combined degree in Psychology and Biology. She earned her medical degree, Doctor of Medicine, from the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center, graduating Summa Cum Laude and was inducted into the National Medical Honor Society, Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Kassenoff completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Mount Sinai Hospital, where she served as chief resident and received the Resident Achievement Award from the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons. She is also an assistant clinical professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mount Sinai Medical Center.

Dr. Kassenoff was very informative and kind when explaining procedure and options to me. Nurse Yolanda was very kind and understanding, and all of the staff there worked to make sure my insurance would cover the procedure i needed. Wonderful.

I've been a patient of Dr. Kassenoff's for about 10 years now and cannot recommend her highly enough. She is friendly, thorough, and always takes time to explain things or answer questions. She makes me feel at ease during what are, let's face it, not the most fun check-ups/procedures. My appointments are always on-time, quick and efficient, and the nursing/office staff are all delightful.

Although I have been a patient of Dr. Kassenoff for years, I will never return to Mount Sinai based on her bedside manner at my last appointment, which I found to be extremely condescending, abrasive and unprofessional. There was also a scribe present in the room, to whom she was equally as condescending and rude. She made alarming comments about potential medical problems without even looking at my lab results and told me that I needed to see a specialist. She also said she would give me 2 specialist referrals and failed to give me said referrals because she was in such a hurry to end the appointment. I unfortunately was unable to have many of my questions answered as every time I spoke, she interrupted as she was clearly in a hurry to end the appointment. I very rarely write reviews, but was so appalled by the level of care I received and felt that sharing this review was necessary. If you are looking for a doctor with patience, empathy and concern for your well-being, I would recommend seeking care elsewhere.

I had been seeing Dr. Kassenoff for several years - all was fine when it was a quick and easy visit, but the moment I had a problem, it became clear she was not the doctor for me. She became quite alarmist, and made me so worried over nothing.

I thought all the staff were very nice and professional. I liked how the nurse gave me an overview of what will take place. Meeting with Dr. Kassenoff was brief but efficient. I realized that she forgot to check one thing I asked for when I got out of the office.

Dr. Kassenoff has great bedside manner and the appointment went very smoothly. She's gentle and explains everything she's doing as she does it to make sure you're prepared and understand. Very efficient once in the room, but, at the same time, it didn't feel rushed.

I am writing regarding a very disappointing experience I had with Dr. Kassenoff regarding a generic birth control medication that I have been taking for over 4 years. She denied to refill my medication which I was about to run out of which is extremely irresponsible behavior as a physician. I will not be returning to this practice as they have made what should be a very easy thing (i.e. receiving my birth control medication) extremely difficult.
