About Dr. Rachel Prosper
Dr. Rachel Prosper is a native of the Bronx, NY. Before relocating to Maryland, she completed her post-secondary education and medical training in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Prosper graduated Cum Laude honors with her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Spelman College. She then completed a post-baccalaureate Medical/ Dental Education Preparatory Program (MEDPREP) at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine before obtaining her Doctor of Medicine Degree at Morehouse School of Medicine. Soon after, Dr. Prosper completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program at Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell Health in New York. She chose OB/GYN as her field of specialty due to its diversity of medical and surgical treatment that allows her to follow a woman through her entire life. Dr. Prosper has obtained her board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a Diplomate of the American Boards of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Prosper is passionate about women’s health, focusing on in-office procedures, contraception for adolescents, and minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Prosper thoroughly enjoys being impactful through community service. Thus far, she has served in the Atlanta area and through mission trips to Senegal, Haiti, Honduras, and Ecuador during her undergraduate, medical school, and residency years. In her free time, she enjoys dining out at new restaurants, working out, spending time with family and friends, playing with her dog Luna, and traveling within the USA and abroad.

I think I would have liked the doctor to check if my baby was alive since I was having spotting, but she just limited herself to asking me questions and that was it. Honestly, I think I wasted my time. She just said that it's normal and that was it. it took between 5 or 7 minutes.

Ample parking outside, the front desk staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Wait times were average, not too long. Dr Prosper was the most understanding and attentive GYN I’ve had. She listened to my concerns and didn’t rush me at all. Overall, a great experience that I would recommend to my friends.

Rachel and her staff were great. The space was very clean and all the staff were friendly. Rachel was very open about sharing information and concerned with my wellbeing and needs . It was a great first visit to my first OBGYN and I would completely recommend to others!

My overall experience was excellent! I highly recommend this office. All of the staff members were very friendly and professional. What stood out was how clean, organized, calm and nice the office was.
The nurses were very kind and accommodating.
I was there to see Dr. Prosper and she was Amazing! Very attentive, accommodating, patient, knowledgeable, honest and listened to all my questions and concerns.
Even though it was my first time meeting her. She made me feel very safe, and comfortable. I really appreciate it, because I haven’t always felt that with other doctors.

It was great to see Dr. Prosper. She was extremely cordial and professional. I liked her bedside manner. When she sent my labs..she provided a quick summary. I appreciated that, because I don't know how many times a Dr. has sent my lab results with no explanation. Sometimes I get a call but if I miss that call, I'm flying blind-or I have to track them down to get my lab results. It was also great to have a woman Dr. She gave me really great insight on my conditions

After being disappointed that my last OB no longer takes my insurance, finding this practice was a pleasant surprise. I very much enjoyed all of the people I interacted with, from the receptionist to the kind woman who drew my blood. I also appreciated being seen by knowledgeable and caring women of color. It's a win all around!

Going to the OB is not the most fun experience, but I had such a great experience overall from Dr. Prosper and her staff that I am doing it again in 2 weeks (and I am ok with it). Her technician that worked me up was really personable. It’s really nervewrecking going to a new doctor’s office, but she made me feel welcome. Dr. Prosper herself has a great bedside manner, is thorough and just made a general unpleasant experience (getting a Pap smear) as good as it could be. They also didn’t make me feel bad about bringing my son when there was a last min change in babysitting arrangements. I think I found my new OB!

Absolutely horrendous. She wouldn't accept the word of my prior OBGYN who had prescribed my med originally (and swore up and down it wasn't in any medical journals--I found it in several in under five mins), nor my hematologist's permission (even demanded the hematologist word it differently). She wouldn't listen when I said I'd been on it for one year without issues and even though my medical history shows I have NEVER had blood clots and was perfectly fine on this med, she swore up and down that she believed I was on a dangerously high level of this med. I'm on .35 mg (the max dose is 15mg, mind you), 3x's per day--that's 1.05mg per day total. Well below the max dose. Learn the diseases your patients have! She wanted me to jump through so many hoops! She also wanted me to do either an IUD or a med that was four times the strength of the one I was already on!

After falling off of my parents insurance, I was nervous about venturing out and looking for non-Kaiser Permanente providers. Dr. Prosper and this office made me feel comfortable and they were super quick. My appointment was scheduled for 10:30. I arrived 15 minutes earlier since I was a new patient and anticipated paperwork. Overall, being seen by the doctor and having my blood drawn by the lab took no more than 45 minutes. I plan to make this my go-to Ob/Gyn office.
