Dr. Reed Edelman, a seasoned eyecare professional, brings over four decades of experience to his practice. Graduating from the University of Rhode Island for his undergraduate studies, Dr. Edelman later pursued his optometric education at the prestigious Pennsylvania College of Optometry.
From a young age, Dr. Edelman harbored a passion for the medical arts, a passion that led him to embark on a pre-medical track in college. However, his journey took a turn when he founded a pre-optometry club, sparking a career change towards eyecare. Fascinated by the intricate connection between the eyes and the brain, he found the study of the eyes to be particularly captivating.
Dr. Edelman's clinical care passions center around family eye care and contact lenses. In his 41st year of practice, he continues to find joy in working with diverse patients each day. Developing long-term relationships with his patients is especially rewarding for Dr. Edelman, who values the opportunity to contribute to their eye health over the years.
Beyond his professional life, Dr. Edelman is happily married to his PCO professor since the week he graduated in May 1983. The couple has two sons, each pursuing unique paths—one in the tech industry in NYC, also playing guitar in a heavy metal band, and the other as a filmmaker and stand-up comedian in LA. Dr. Edelman's personal hobbies include tennis, magic, table tennis, and travel, reflecting a well-rounded and vibrant life outside the clinic.
With a wealth of experience and a genuine passion for eyecare, Dr. Reed Edelman continues to make a positive impact on the visual health and well-being of his patients, while also enjoying a fulfilling and diverse personal life.
